“You could build a house with your writer’s block.” My dad once told me.

I suppose, if I’ve done anything over the past year, it is exactly that. I have built a ten story mansion on a landscape similar to that of the popular Mine-Craft games. I’ve even furnished it with square couches and boxy lamps.

Oh, writer’s block. I would like to rename this disease, to something much more fitting of the pain it causes. Writer’s Flu. Writer’s Headache. Writer’s Cancer.

How long has it been since I last was able to write freely? I suppose this disease came with the start of college. I’m a senior in high school, sophomore in college… so I’ve been a bit to occupied to write as frequently as I use to. And even when I sit down, after hours of homework and studying, I seem to have used up all my words. There are no more great ideas to put onto paper, no more elegant characters that have a story to tell.

So, how do I overcome this?

The answer is this blog. (Or at least that is what I have been told.)

Hello there, Tumblr world! I’m Elizabeth Marie. I’m obsessed with Captain Nemo and I love science. I’m your not-so-new, stalker-like neighbor. Let’s hope you have the cure for my terrible ailment!

Thanks for reading! I shall leave you all with my newest favorite song. Play me out Electric Light Orchestra!
